A crucial meeting on the Chief Minister’s health initiatives was held at the Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education (SHC&ME) Department under the chairmanship of Mr. Khawaja Salman Rafique, Minister, Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department. The meeting was attended by Mr. Azmat Mahmud, Secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department; Mr. Tariq Mahmood Rehmani, Special Secretary Operations; Mr. Ameer Muhammad, Additional Secretary; Ms. Sarah Loni, Deputy Secretary; and Dr. Ali Razaque, CEO Punjab Health Initiative Management Company (PHIMC), along with other senior officers.
During the meeting, a detailed review of the Chief Minister’s Children Heart Surgery Program (CMCHSP), Chief Minister’s Special Initiative for Dialysis Program (CMSIDP), and Chief Minister’s Special Initiative for Transplant Program (CMSITP) was conducted. The Minister was briefed on monitoring frameworks, service delivery mechanisms, patient facilitation measures, and public feedback–based performance reports of all three programs.
Emphasis was placed on strengthening transparency, ensuring effective monitoring, improving service quality, and resolving patient-related issues at empanelled hospitals. The Minister reaffirmed the Punjab Government’s commitment to utilizing all available resources to provide quality healthcare services to citizens across Punjab, enabling access to treatment within their own cities and communities.
