A meeting on the Chief Minister’s health initiatives was held at the Punjab Health Initiative Management Company (PHIMC) on February 18, 2026, chaired by Mr. Khawaja Salman Rafique, Minister, Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department. Dr. Ali Razaque, Chief Executive Officer, PHIMC, and other senior officials attended the meeting. The Minister was briefed on the monitoring framework, service delivery, patient facilitation measures and public feedback on innovative healthcare projects.
He emphasized transparency, improved service quality, and effective monitoring across key health initiatives, highlighting progress in free medicines, surgical procedures, and specialized healthcare services. The meeting also reviewed progress of all CM Health Initatives/Programs.
Updates included more than 10,496 free heart surgeries for children, 1,282 transplants, and over 1.37 million free dialysis sessions.
