Prime Minister of Pakistan, launched “QAUMI Sehat Card” Program for entire population of the Punjab province, in a pre-launch ceremony held at Governor House, Lahore on December 13, 2021.
While addressing to the ceremony, Prime Minister said that the decision to launch the Qaumi Sehat Card Program was taken in sympathy of poor segments of society.
The Prime Minister said that 440 billion rupees will be spent on the Health Card Program in three years.
Prime Minister of Pakistan said that thirty million Health Cards will be distributed among all families in province within three months, starting from Lahore in January next year.
He said that due to this program, the private sector will be encouraged to invest in the healthcare sector and hospitals will be set up in every backward area.
He appreciated the Punjab Chief Minister and Health Minister for launching Qaumi Sehat Card Program in the province.
Addressing the ceremony, Chief Minister said that the health sector is the Punjab Government's top priority. He said that nine hospitals have been set up in the last three years.
In her address, Punjab Health Minister said that under this program, thirty million families will be provided Health Cards by March next year. She said that the Prime Minister's vision is of human service.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health, Punjab Governor, Punjab Secretary SHC & MED, Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi, CEO PHIMC, Dr. Ali Razaque, and provincial and national assembly members were also present on this occasion.
