In a significant collaboration, UNICEF and IRMNCH&N Programme, Government of the Punjab, organized a crucial consultation event to address ongoing newborn care interventions in Punjab. This event, held from 18-20th January 2023 at PC Hotel Lahore, aimed to discuss the mainstreaming and scaling up of these interventions across all areas and districts of Punjab. The primary focus was on providing comprehensive primary health care (PHC) under the framework of universal health coverage (UHC) within the province.
The consultations are expected to result in a well-defined roadmap for the next five years, outlining improvements in newborn health across Punjab.
