What will be the COA if CNIC number printed on card is incorrect?
A replacement card will be issued to the beneficiaries in this case after submission of an application by him/her at PMNHP help desk in empanelled hospitals.

What will be COA if beneficiary has lost his Card and how replacement card can be provided to beneficiary?
If the card is lost, Hospital service could still be availed by the beneficiaries by presenting original CNIC, a duplicate card would be issued to beneficiaries on submission of an application.

What is the launch date of the program?
Each district has a launch date, schedule is provided to the calling center.

What are the timings to collect the card?
Timings are from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Does one card cover for all family members or all family members would have separate card?
Only one card issued to head of the family, the coverage of family is in accordance to BISP priority criteria.

  • Husband & wife are covered.
  • Unmarried children are covered.
  • Children born in the scheme hospitals after the launch of the scheme would be automatically covered.

If card holder calls on help line and inform that he/she is going to the hospital, then what COA would be followed by helpline agent?
The operator can first enquire about the nature of treatment asked for, if the nature of the case is OPD then he can explain that OPD is not covered. If it cannot be determined on phone and case is not emergency the operator can tell him to consult his local doctor (in mohallah or village) and if he suggests that the case could only be handled through hospitalization than he can visit the hospital. The operator can tell the beneficiaries about hospitals and ask him to visits the hospitals nearest to him.

How can needy people avail this program and is there any requirement\criteria\documents for availing this program (If not added on beneficiary list)?
If the person is not in the beneficiaries list, he cannot avail this facility as the list of beneficiaries has been provided by the Govt. and no addition or deletion could be made.

How can details of new baby or person will be added in Card (Procedure) or if missed?
The new babies already born before the start of the scheme could be added by submission of application on any hospitals help desk, for addition of children form “Bay” issued by NADRA would be an essential document. The babies born after the scheme at the scheme hospitals would be added by the help desk.

Can card be blocked from helpline case of lost\theft?
There is no need of blocking the cards as the data is available at the help desk of hospitals, CNIC is checked for admission so there is no chance of misuse of cards in case of theft/loss of cards.

How can caller check that he is eligible or not for the program?
Send an SMS with your CNIC number to 8500. Within a few minutes you will receive a response letting you know about your eligibility.

When will the program come to my district?
This question cannot be answered at the moment. But the Govt. of Pakistan is working on it which would take time, it would be communicated once the decision is made.

What will be the procedure to collect the card if card holder is outside Pakistan\ city?
Husband/Wife/Son/ Daughter can collect the card by showing his own original card and answering a set of questions for authentication.

Are the card holder's parents and married children covered in the program?
Married children are not part of the program. Dependent parents living in the same household and included in the beneficiary lists are covered and form a separate family.

What if my treatment cost exceeds the benefit limit?
If a beneficiary is admitted in an empanelled hospital and its limit is exhausted, the treatment of the same admission will be continued.

Can I pay for services above the benefit limit?
No.

I visited the hospital and they didn't offer me admission, but I am sick. What can I do?
Services are only for Inpatient treatments (admissions), OPD is not covered. In addition, certain treatments are not covered (e.g. cosmetic surgeries, dental, eye glasses, drug addiction, injuries incurred during a crime). Once the benefit balance has been exhausted prior admission, no further treatment is allowed, except in the case of life threatening or maternity cases.

Which people are included in this Scheme?
Currently, people who are living in the districts of Rahim Yar Khan, Sargodha, Khanewal, Narowal, Bhakkar, Lodhran, Khushab, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Multan, Mianwali, Rajanpur, Vehari, Hafizabad, Layyah, Muzaffargarh & Dera Ghazi Khan of Punjab and earn less than PKR. 200 a day (32.5 PMT according to NSER based on BISP Survey), are the beneficiaries of program.

I believe I am eligible for support, how can I become beneficiary of the program? Top
Currently, only people who are living in 17 districts (Rahim Yar Khan, Sargodha, Khanewal, Narowal, Bhakkar, Lodhran, Khushab, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Multan, Mianwali, Rajanpur, Vehari, Hafizabad, Layyah, Muzaffargarh & Dera Ghazi Khan) of Punjab and earn less than PKR. 200 a day (32.5 PMT according to NSER based on BISP Survey), are the beneficiaries of this program.  
   
How will I know that I have to be admitted in a hospital?
In case of any illness, contact the nearest doctor. The doctor, after examination, will determine the type of illness and suggest if there is a need to admit the patient in the hospital.

How many times can I use the card in the hospital? Top
A family can use up to 250,000 PKR for priority health care services and 50,000 PKR for secondary health care services. Family can benefit from the card till cash limit is available.  
   
In which disease can the “Pakistan Sehat card” be used? Top
Pakistan Sehat Card can be used for treatment of any disease that requires the patient to be admitted in the hospital.  
   
Will the child born in registered family be eligible as well? Top
The child born in registered family will be eligible if he/she is born in the empanelled hospital. In case the child is not born in empanelled hospital, the new born can be added by submission of application on any hospital’s PMNHP help desk, for addition of children in the program form “Bay” issued by NADRA is required.  
   
If the card is unused, will any amount be paid to the card HOLDER? Top
“Pakistan Sehat Card” is only for indoor treatment. No amount shall be paid if the card is not used.  
   
Will I be eligible for transport facility to visit the hospital? Top
In case of indoor treatment, the patient is given 350 PKR as transport fare. This facility can only be availed thrice in a year.
